Manual Tester Job Description

We are searching for a meticulous and enthusiastic Manual Tester to join our growing QA team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of our software products by manually testing their functionality and usability. You will identify bugs, document defects, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolutions.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and understand software requirements and specifications.
Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering various functionalities of the software.
Conduct manual testing across different platforms and devices to identify bugs and usability issues.
Document bugs clearly and concisely using a bug tracking system, including steps to reproduce and expected results.
Collaborate effectively with developers and other QA testers to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve reported issues.
Participate in code reviews to identify potential issues from a tester's perspective.
Stay up-to-date on the latest testing methodologies and best practices.
Assist with the creation and maintenance of test automation scripts (a plus).
Qualifications:
Minimum 1+ years of experience in manual testing or a related field (e.g., QA Analyst).
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, particularly the testing phase.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) a plus.
Experience with test case management tools (e.g., Zephyr, TestRail) a plus.
Working knowledge of SQL queries for data manipulation (a plus).
